Q1: My car had broken down and I needed a way home.
Q2: Nothing much. The boy's parents kept asking me questions. To be frank, I did not want to talk much.
Q3: They looked nice enough, and they looked like they had just come from a holiday.
Q4: He looked scared of me, and kept staring at me.
Q5: The boy just curled up in his seat and kicked me out! I hit the door and it gave way, and I fell out, right into the path of a truck coming in the opposite direction.
Q6: I saw parts of it, the parts that weren't squashed. I still could see my cigarette case, with my hand holding on to it. It al looked so gruesome I could've vomited.

Interviewer: Good morning Mr Rellik! How are you today? Thank you for granting this exclusive interview with you.

Interviewer: Do you mind telling us why you were hitching a ride on that fateful day?

Ian Rellik: Mr car broke down at Lowestoft and I managed to get all my way there to Southwold and as it was raining heavily, I could not walk on further, therefore I decided to hitch a ride. 

Interviewer: What happened when you boarded the car?

Ian Rellik: I noticed Jacob kept staring fiercely at me, his father began talking to me to know more about me and his mother asked for my name.  

Interviewer: What was your impression of the family who gave you a ride?

Ian Rellik: They were helpful and kind enough to give me a ride. When I boarded the car, my impression of Jacob was shy and quiet, his mother was maybe suspicious of me and seemed very uncomfortable with my presence. His father, who asked more about me, was quite friendly.  

Interviewer: What was your impression of the boy who was sitting at the back of the car? What makes you think so?

Ian Rellik: He was quiet, shy and paranoid. He kept stealing glances of me and even thought the mud on my hand was actually blood, it seemed like he was scared of me and was uncomfortable with my presence as he kept fidgeting in his seat. 

Interviewer: How did the boy attack you and what happened after that? 

Ian Rellik: The boy gave me a hard kick and as the faulty door gave way, I was thrown out of the door and then was rolling on the road when a tractor trailer drove over me, killing me instantly. 

Interviewer: Did you see your own body after the death? How do you feel about your unfortunate death?

Ian Rellik: Yes, it was in a terrible state. My body was crushed and innards flowed out from my body, both of my legs are twisted and broken. I am innocent, I wasn’t suppose to die. Jacob must have thought I would bring harm to him and his family, therefore tried to kill me. I was very upset about my this unfortunate death.

Interview with Mr Rellik (Goh Qian Zhe)(11)

Q1.

 I was travelling from the garden I worked in to Ipswich today, but my car broke down, so I decided to walk down to Ipswich while trying to hitch a car ride.

Q2.

When I boarded the car, I received a relatively friendly welcome and sat on the back seat while having a short chat with the driver.

Q3.

I felt that they were helpful but quite reluctant to do so, and I felt very uneasy with them.

Q4.

I felt that the boy was very unhappy with me, as I saw shock and I could feel that he was scared of me. I can Infer that he wanted me to leave the car as soon as possible.

Q5.

He pushed me off the car! The door beside me was actually not locked properly and I flew off from the vehicle where the distance was quite huge. After that, I got knocked down by a tractor trailer

Q6. I saw it. I was gruesome and unbearable. I felt shocked and angry as I did not even know why I was pushed down that car and why I needed to die. My life was just simply taken away just like that!, What bad luck I had!

Interviewer: For today’s show, we have with us Mr Rellik! Good morning Mr Rellik! How are you today? Thank you for granting this exclusive interview with you.

Interviewer: Do you mind telling us why you were hitching a ride on that fateful day?

Ian Rellik: Firstly, I would like to clarify to the audience that my name is Ian Renwick, not Rellik like that boy thought. Anyway, I was on my way home, when suddenly my car broke down. As such, I managed to hitch a ride with another couple, who to my dismay, left my at an abandoned petrol station when we stopped for a toilet break...Thankfully, I met this family, and hitched a ride with them.

Interviewer: Right, so Mr Rellik, what...

Ian Rellik: Its Renwick, not Rellik...

Interviewer: Right, so Mr Renwick.., what happened when you boarded the car?

Ian Rellik: I noticed that the door of the car seemed to swung open easily, but I ignored it as it was raining and I was anxious to be sheltered.

Interviewer: What was your impression of the family who gave you a ride, Mr..Renwick?

Ian Rellik: The boy who I was sitting next to, was dead silent, and seemed to be observing me all the time, while his mother seemed to be uncomfortable in her seat, shifting about in her seat. The father was the only one cheerful and tried to make conversation, which I was grateful for...

Interviewer: What was your impression of the boy who was sitting at the back of the car? What makes you say so?

Ian Rellik: He was a mysterious little boy, who’s pale face seemed like it had not seen much daylight. Throughout the journey, he kept watch on me like a hawk, probably because he was uncomfortable with me around, which I’m terribly sorry for!

Interviewer: Alright, Mr Rellik...

Ian Rellik: Its Renwick...

Interviewer: I’m sorry! Mr Renwick, would you mind telling us how did the boy attack you and what happened after that?

Ian Rellik: The boy suddenly started moving into an awkward position, which caught my attention. To my horror, that little boy kicked me against the car door, and I was knocked unconscious. Among the commotion, I noticed that I tumbled onto the road, which I assume was because the door gave way...The rest was a blur.

Interviewer: Did you see your own body after the death? How do you feel about your unfortunate death?

Ian Rellik: Sadly, the impact of the car split my body into many pieces. I still regretted boarding that family’s car, as I have not lived my life to its fullest yet...

Ian Rellik : Not at all. My car broke down on the way home from work. I managed to hitch a ride up to the area where the boy’s family picked me up.

Interviewer : What happened when you boarded the car?

Ian Rellik : The woman and the boy, Jacob, I think his name was, looked slightly uncomfortable, probably because they were picking up an absolute stranger in the middle of nowhere.

Interviewer : What was your impression of the family who gave you a ride?

Ian Rellik : They were pretty friendly, and seemed to be fine with me hitching a ride after a while.

Interviewer : What was your impression of the boy who was sitting at the back of the car? What makes you say so?

Ian Rellik : I thought he was a little strange. He kept extremely quiet, and frequently turned his head to glance at me, before turning back. His expression seemed somewhere between terror and confusion.

Interviewer : How did the boy attack you and what happened after that?

Ian Rellik : While I was taking out my cigarette case, the boy kicked me with both his legs, and with both hands in my coat, I could not defend myself. I’m not sure why, but the door sprung open, and I fell out. I caught a glimpse of headlights a few feet from me, then everything went black.

Interviewer : Did you see your own body after the death? How do you feel about your unfortunate death?

Ian Rellik : No, I did not. The body was probably splattered all over the road, and I could not bear to look at my own dead body. Initially, I was extremely angry at Jacob for causing my death without any reason whatsoever, but after going around as a spirit for some time, it’s actually quite fun, so it’s not too bad.

Interview with Ian Rellik

Q1) After a long day at work, my car broke down. I could not get hold of any car repairing services so I decided to hitchhike. I only managed to hitchhike to Southwold, where it started raining really heavily. That was when I hitchhiked John’s car.

Q2) When I boarded the car, I sat next to a young boy. named Jacob. He seemed uncomfortable with me there so I tried being friendly to him. I tried to make conversation with his father by asking if they had been out for the day. Then his father asked me about why I was there hitchhiking a ride.

Q3) The father seemed really friendly and cheerful. I could tell that his wife and son were uncomfortable with me in their car. But in overall they were just like any other family.

Q4) The boy was quiet and observant, he was looking at my every movement. I found him rather shy as he did not speak much.

Q5)The boy kicked me towards the direction of the car door, one feet landing on my shoulder and another just above my waist. The door gave way and I was flung out of the car onto the road. When I fell on the road, a truck came straight for me and its front wheels crushed my every bone.

Q6) Yes, I saw my own body. I was very confused as to why the boy in the car kicked me out of the car. I blame my bad luck for hitchhiking a ride from such a family. I could tell the boy did not want his father to stop for me and I shouldn’t have tried being so friendly.

Interview

1. It was raining and my car broke down near Lowestoft. I did not have enough cash to get a train ticket to Ipswich, so I decided to walk there. When I saw the car, I felt extremely fortunate that I would not have to walk another twenty miles.

2. The father, the driver, asked me about my day, and I also gave him my name. The son, Jacob, and the mother were quite quiet though.

3. They looked like a pretty normal family, except that I could sense a certain tension between them.

4. He seemed okay, maybe a little scared or shy because he was wide-eyed and tense throughout my journey with him. I tried to ask him if he was okay, but he did not seem to take it very well and simply gaped at me.

5. He kicked my shoulder and waist! It happened so quickly, I hardly realized it until I was flying out of  the car. I could not have defended myself as my hands were under my jacket, looking for my cigarette case.

6. Yes I did. It was gruesome, my body squashed on the ground like mashed potatoes. What did I ever do to the boy? I died an innocent death.

Interview with Mr Ian Rellik

Q1) My car had broken down and I needed to go to Ipswich as soon as possible as my mother was ill.
Q2) When I boarded the car I felt really grateful at first as no other car would stop for me.
Q3) I felt that the family did not really want me to board their car and I felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome.
Q4) I felt that the boy was really disturbed with my arrival on the car. I felt this as he kept staring at me from time to time and gave a scared look as though I was a ghost.
Q5) The boy kicked me towards the door. I think the lock was not working as once I fell towards it, the lock gave away and I fell down rolling. I think I broke my hand in the fall. The last thing that I could remember is the sound of a horn and a huge and heavy black rubbery material squeezed my face till my eyeballs popped out. It was horrible.
Q6) Yes, I saw my own body after my death. Although I could not see most of my body as most of it was squished under the tractor trailer. I felt rage and anger towards the boy at first But now, I know that the boy was mentally ill and I feel sorry for him.

English Interview with Ian Rellik

1. Oh, I was going home that day after the last delivery to a customer. I went home earlier that day as there were some problems with the engine and I wanted to call for a tow truck when I reached home. Unfortunately, it started pouring and the engine finally gave up. I decided to walk and hitchhike at the same time and return for the car the next day. I was hitchhiking for rather long before the family stopped and allowed me onto the car.

2. I was extremely grateful as it was pouring and those kind of people are rare nowadays. I introduced myself and I got to know Jacob a little.

3. Well, they were rather quiet during the ride and Jacob was acting very strangely. Overall, I think that the family is one that does not want to invite any trouble for themselves.

4. He was behaving strangely and seemed harmless but fearful of me. He did not dare to look at my direction.

5. I wanted to give him a special coin as a birthday gift and a token of appreciation, but he suddenly kicked me and I heard a click, probably the lock of the door, and suddenly I was flying out into the open and everything became black.

6. Wait a minute, I died? Right after everything became black, I strained to open my eyes and found myself lying on the roadside where the family picked me up. I walked on and on, and saw police and an ambulance carrying a body. I thought it looked strangely familiar. My death must have left so many people upset, my family, my frequent customers, and my relatives. I was enjoying my life then, until everything in the world seemed unreal.

English Interview with Mr Rellik

Qn 1: Renwick. Not Rellik. Rellik is what that boy misheard. Anyways, I work outside of Lowesoft. That fateful day, my car broke down and I managed to hitchhike all the way to Southwold before the family picked me up. It was going to rain and i was actually thankful that they picked me up at first

Qn 2:  I told them I was headed to Glade Street. Its a newly built and I do not think they know it. Then, i was told it was Jacob’s birthday. Then, i shook his hand then i saw there was still mud on my hand. Therefore i pulled back my hand and wiped the mud away.

Qn 3: I think that the father was very friendly and kind but I do not think that the mother and son did not trust me much. Maybe they were not used to strangers like me. 

Qn 4: The boy was kind of weird. Every-time he looked at me, i feel that he was suspicious of me and scared. He was looking at me weird

Qn 5: As we were going around the round about, he extended both legs and kicked me, one leg on my arm and one leg in my stomach. I had my hands in my jacket and i did not have the time to defend myself. I was slammed against the door and the catch broke open. i was flung on the road.

Qn 6: Yes. It was all bloody and mangled. i feel so sad that a misunderstanding can cause such harm!

1.Do you mind telling us why you were hitching a ride on that fateful day?

My car broke down after i left work from fair fields as a gardener, and since it was pouring with rain I decided to hitch a ride.

2.What happened when you boarded the car

I sat next to Jacob in the back seat talked to them for awhile. They asked me where i was going, where I lived and I felt kind of bad for causing the car seat to be wet and tried to minimise the space that i occupied.

1. What was your impression of the family who gave you a ride

They were a kind bunch of people, they offered me a ride even though they did not knew who I was.

1. What was your impression of the boy who was sitting at the back of the car? What makes you say so?

He was a very interesting child he was not all that friendly but I was very curious about him I tried to talk to him but he somehow felt scared.

5. How did the boy attack you and what happened after that?

He leaned back into his seat, closer to the door and he moved his legs closer to mine. I did not think anything of it at first but suddenly he raised his legs and shoved me out of the car. the door gave way and I felt my head slam against the ground i caught a glimpse of the tractor wheels before I blacked out.

1. Did you see your own body after the death? How do you feel about your unfortunate death?

Yes. It was horrible, to think it was once a body at all horrifies me. I felt that this incident is very sad, my wife having to lose her husband at such a young age. I hope people like Jacob will be rehabilitated and cured to prevent such unnecessary deaths.

Mr Ian Rellik interview with Tham Chun Leong

Q1. Well, I was heading towards Ipswich but my car broke down halfway. So, I had to hitchhike all the way to Southwold, where no one wanted to bring me any further, until their family came.

Q2. If I remember correctly, the first thing that I did when I boarded the car was notice the boy at the back, he kept staring at me and always appear to be in great thought, but his parents in the front though were very friendly, especially the dentist guy, he was very chatty and very cheerful. Then they asked me questions about where I came from and what my name was, and I answered them truthfully.

Q3. The two adults in the front seat were very friendly. We could have chatted for the entire trip, also, they were the ones that let me onto their car without much hesitation unlike the other drivers.

Q4. The boy at the back? Oh, you mean Jacob? Well, he was kind of strange, I could tell he was very suspicious of me of being a murderer or kidnapper. For the entire trip, he ket staring at me and sometimes looks as though he was in deep thought. Everything I did, he would prepare himself, as though I was going for an attack.

Q5. I’m not really sure but all I remember was picking a cigarette from the cigarette box and then I felt something thud into my left. I got knocked to the right and the door gave way. My head slammed onto the ground and the last thing I can remember was something crushed me.

Q6. I saw my own body all right, blood was gushing out of it. It was really horrible! No one told me Jacob was insane! I really regretted hitchhiking, it got me killed. I could have taken the train which was faster, but I didn’t, and this is what happens.

Interview with the deceased Ian Rellik

Interviewer:Do you mind telling us why you were hitching a ride on that fateful day?

Ian Rellik: That very day I was heading back home after doing gardening at a couple of houses out side Lowestoff. However, with all that driving, the petrol in my car quickly depleted, causing my car to break down. I had intended to take the train but als, the train station was closed that day. So, I could only resort to looking for passing cars to hitchhike.

Interviewer:What happened when you boarded the car?

Ian Rellik:When the car finally stopped, I expected the passengers to treat me warmly, having stopped after I had pulled out the hitchhiker sign. However, after asking for my destination, only the driver engaged in a conversation with me while the other two ignored me. Of the two was a young teenager who kept glancing at me suspiciously.

Interviewer:What was your first impression of the family who gave you the car ride?

Ian Rellik: I felt that the family did not have many similarities as while one treated my warmly, another ignored me and the last suspected me. Thus, I felt that this family wasn’t entirely keen on stopping.

Interviewer:What was your impression of the boy who was sitting at the back of the car?What makes you say so?

Ian Rellik:I felt that the boy at the back of the car was a bit weird. I can take a few suspicious glances from him but whenever I turned around to look at him, or to even wish him a happy birthday, he always held that shocked, wary and enadangered face.

Interviewer:How did the boy attack you and what happened after that?

Ian Rellik:For most of the ride, I thought that the boy was just a bit nutty so I decided to make sure that the boy would no do anything to endanger the ride for I felt that I was partly the reason why the boy was acting so strangely. Just as I was about to entertain myself with a shiny yoyo in my pocket, I was kicked out of the car bu the boy, only to be flung around in pain till a tractor trailer ended it.

Interviwer?Did you see your own body after the death?How did you feel about your unfortunate death?

Ian Rellik: I merely saw my own body for a few seconds, milliseconds after I had died, before my body became mincemeat. I felt that my death was a regrettable one as I have not fulfilled my dreams before my death. I was merely unlucky to meet a loony in a car ride.

Q1 My car broke down near Lowestoft and Ipswich was about 20 miles away. There was a heavy thunderstorm too, so I decided to hitch a ride.

Q2 I chatted with the family. The boy was observing me the moment I got in.

Q3 The family was friendly and outgoing. Though, the boy was weird. His expression made me uncomfortable.

Q4 At first, I thought than the boy was normal like all others but he started to act strangely. He seemed uncomfortable with me and he kept staring at him. He looked shaken and worried after a thunder storm.

Q5 The boy kicked me and I was thrown out of the car when the catch of the door gave away. I hit the road and a tractor tailer ran over me.

Q6 I saw my own body after death. It was horrible. I couldn't believe that i'm dead. My body was squashed badly and blood was flowing like a river onto the road. I felt angry and terrible, seeing my body in this state because of a boy who was mental. I regretted my decision to hitch a ride now.

My Script:Q1)My car had broken down near Lowestoft. I hitchhiked to Southwold so that I could hitch a ride back to my hometown Ipswich. Luckily, I saw this car at the expressway. I stuck out my thumb which is the universal sign of a hitchhiker. The driver was too kind to give me a ride.

                   Q2)The father who was the driver was very kind and polite. He acted very casually with me. However, his son started acting strangely. Every time he looked at me,he shuddered in fear. I tried my very best to ignore him.

                  Q3) The family seems to have problems with one another. They are unable to see eye to eye. The mother and the son seemed not to like me. They were very paranoid. On the other hand,the father was kind and helpful and also casual.

                  Q4)The boy looked like he was mentally ill. He looked like he was disturbed by my presence. Every now and then,he would give me a sideways glance. It was very unusual. I tried not to make any sudden movements so that I would not scare him as he was obviously very scared of me.

                  Q5)Well,it happened in a split second. He lost control and started yelling and crouching in  the corner of his seat. I was taken aback by his sudden movement. I wanted to ask what had happened but it was too late. He kicked me out of the car. This wretched tractor trailer then ran over me. It was very unfortunate. I could have survived if the tractor trailer wasn't there.

                 Q6)I did see my own body. But,it was beyond recognition. I felt very frustrated and unhappy. I was the sole breadwinner of my family. Without me,they are unlikely to have enough money to support each other. My children would have to stop their education. I hope that the boy is punished fairly for his mistake.

Ian Rellik:No,I still shudder to think about it.Everything happened quickly.As soon as I hit the ground I almost fainted.I started to bounce.Then I felt something heavy crunching my bones.I felt extruanting pain and I wanted to scream and I died.I feel that the boy should get a big sentence as I did  not do anything wrong.

Ian Rellik's Interview

1. I was driving my rickety car on the way back, but it broke down. It was cold and the engine would not start. I managed to trod through the rain until I reached Southwold. Many drivers did not lend me a hand until, a station wagon pulled up.

2. The driver greeted me and asked where I wanted to go and where I was prior to this. Meanwhile, the boy next to me was staring anxiously at me. I am not sure if he was alright as he seem really shocked.

3. I found the driver a carefree and heartwarming fellow. I was weary of the boy as he had facial expressions that did not match the atmosphere. The lady seemed quite nervous too. I think they are an average family. I knew that my sudden appearance would make them suspicious.

4. He looked like any teenager you would find on the street. However, after a rumbling thunder, he stared at me. I mouthed some words for myself and I could see his eyes growing wider by the second. My thumb was covered in mud too. He started to panic and I tried to calm him down. I felt that he was mentally unstable. What wrong have I done?

5. I was unfortunately sitting by a door with a broken lock. The hinges seemed to be moving apart too. I placed my hand in my pocket to check for my cigarette casing. He glimpsed at it and became flustered. He angled himself against the other door. With my hands still in my pocket, he launched kicks at me. I was dislocated from my seat and the door ground apart. I fell out onto road. A truck, blasting his horns, ran over my body.

6. My body and my belongings were scattered over the width of two lanes. My body was seemingly like freshly blended pig innards. Blood and pieces of flesh littered the road. On the truck's tyre, I saw the remnants of my torso. I was horrified as it was a grisly way to go. It happened all too quick too. Since my body was mashed, I would not be able to even receive a proper burial like any human would.

An interview with Ian Rellik--Sarah Chan

1) My car broke down that day, near lowestoft. i figured I could hitchhike, and I got all the way to southwold

2) Well, I felt a little uncomfortable and embarrassed, since I dirtied their vcar with all the oild and rainwater from my clothes. The driver was nice enough to engage me in conversation

3) They were very nice people, picking up a hitchhiker in the middle of nowhere. I liked the man, he was rather friendly, but the mother was quite cold to me.

4) The first impression I got of Jacob was that he was just another normal boy, but when I wanted to shake his hand, he got all panicky. for the entire ride, he looked at me like I was some kind of murderer, ad then he pushed me out of the car.

5) I didn't really know what exactly happened, until I felt a kick to my stomach, and I was sailing through the air. I vaguely saw a truck's headlights, and then I felt pain.

6) When I woke up, I thought that it was all a dream, until I found myself staring at my own body. I felt really upset because I died quite early, I could have done a lot more things if I was still alive. I am still angry at the boy.

Ethan Khor_Rellik Interview

Q1: My car had broken down, and I was trying to get home. I managed to hitchhike as far as Southwold, which was where Jacob's family picked me up.
Q2: I sat next to Jacob in the back, and talked with his family and him for a bit.
Q3: I think Jacob's father is a rather kind person, but I could tell that Jacob and his mother didn't really trust me.
Q4: He seemed to be very nervous around me, probably because he didn't trust strangers such as myself. He was very quiet throughout the car ride and took glances at me every now and then. I also saw him write my surname on the car window, for whatever reason.
Q5: The boy kicked me and caused me to slam into the door on my side, which gave way and ended up with me being thrown out the car.
Q6: Yes. I imagine that it would be one nasty cleanup for the police or whoever that was going to clean my remains off the road, and I don't really understand why Jacob would attack me, but I trust that he will be punished fairly.

Q1: Absolutely not. My car broke down on my way home,which is in Ipswich, and I thought that i could make my way home on foot. While I was walking home, a car pulled beside me as I put out my thumb and showed the universal symbol of a hitchhiker. I think they decided to give me a lift as it was raining heavily on that day.

Q2:When I boarded the car, I was made to sit beside a boy who was the child of the couple inside the car. Then I asked if they went out for the day and then they told me that it was that boy's birthday and they went to suffolk to celebrate it. They also asked me about my destination and I told them each and every detail.

Q3:They were very silent as they didn't talk a single word throughout the whole journey. The husband and wife were both in good occupations when I questioned them about their occupations.

Q4:He was very timid and he looked at me very suspiciously. I think he thought that I was a murderer or something. 

Q5:The boy gave me a really hard kick that sent me flying out of the car through a door which I later realised that it was defective.I landed on the road right in front of a heavy vehicle that smashed me into bits and I was smeared all over the road. 

Q6: No, I was very sad as I lived a very whorl life and I also felt sorry and angry for the boy as he could have been mentally disabled.

With regards to the hitchhiker, what do you think Jacob might do in the next part of the story?
